STRIVE students actively participated in the YWCA Week Without Violence community street festival, hosting an information table to share details about STRIVE programming with families, youth, and community members. The event, centered on promoting peace, safety, and community connection, provided an ideal setting for STRIVE students to engage the public, answering questions, distributing information, and highlighting opportunities available through STRIVE’s creative and mentorship pipeline programs.
Adding to the energy of the festival, Reef, a STRIVE student, performed live during the street celebration, using music as a powerful form of expression and connection. The performance underscored STRIVE’s commitment to elevating youth voice while creating real-world platforms for students to showcase their talents.
STRIVE’s presence at Week Without Violence reflects its mission to combine creativity, leadership, and community engagement, empowering young people to contribute meaningfully while building confidence and career ready skills.
