STRIVE students brought energy, creativity, and community spirit to this year’s Back-to-School Bookbag Event held in front of Pottstown Middle School. As part of the celebration, students from STRIVE’s DJ pipeline program hosted live DJ sets throughout the event, helping to create a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere for families, students, and community members preparing for the new school year.
By providing live music and managing event-level sound in a public setting, STRIVE students gained hands-on experience in performance, equipment setup, and audience engagement. Their participation reflects STRIVE’s commitment to pairing creative skill-building with real world opportunities that build confidence, professionalism, and leadership.
Events like the Pottstown Middle School Bookbag Giveaway allow STRIVE youth to give back to their community while strengthening the career-ready skills that are central to STRIVE’s creative pipeline programs.
