Kenneth Winston has been the Executive Director at the CAMC for the past 10 years. Prior to that, he was the Outreach Supervisor for the Phoenixville Area School District, and the president and founder of Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives (PAPA). He has served on the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation BOD and the Phoenixville Social Concerns Committee BOD. Presently, he serves on the WC BID Board of Directors and on the Greater Brandywine YMCA Membership Advisory Committee.
Ken’s passion is youth and community outreach, and to this end, he has started sustainable and impactful academic afterschool programs, community wide events, and basketball leagues throughout West Chester, Phoenixville and Norristown. Ken has coached basketball at Phoenixville Area High School and track and field at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
As an African American male with a unique perspective and diverse relationships, Ken lends his expertise to train and facilitate tolerance and sensitivity training for the Phoenixville Police Department.
For the past seven years, Ken has been the facilitator for Chester County’s Single Parents Conference and he has also conducted the longest running fathers’ workshop in Chester County since the year 2000. In addition, Ken’s background and personal experience with addiction and recovery allows him to mentor, serve, and connect with people across a wide variety of sectors including the prison population.
Ken has his bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Eastern University and his Master’s Degree in Special Education from Newman University.
